551 West 21st Street Featured in The New York Times

  New developments are rising in the city and thus the collaboration of the favored in architecture, design, and art. The new 44-unit condo at 551 West 21st Street is no exception, thanks to the inclusion of 303 Gallery on the ground and mezzanine levels. Murdock Solon Architects designed the gallery's previous space at 547 West 21st Street and is currently in progress at the new location. The 19-story building, designed by Foster and Partners, was recently featured in The New York Times  The article highlights the building's own exceptional design details, including "windows trimmed inside and out with gold-colored metal, living rooms with white-oak herringbone floors and kitchens with marble counters." The concrete-panel facade is designed to help the building stand out from other developments in the neighborhood.  303 Gallery, owned and directed by Lisa Spellman, will occupy 11,000 square feet of the new space and will take advantage of the building's unique trapezoidal footprint. Divided into a rectangle and a triangle, all the vertical circulation is located within the triangle. This allows for maximum height and incredible illumination from the glass facade.
