The renovation for this Landmarked 4,000 square foot residence facing Central Park on Manhattan’s Upper East Side will features two wood-burning fireplaces, formal dining and living rooms, as well as three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. A new central air conditioning/ humidifying system, window replacement and kitchen were central components of the new layout. The couple’s library and home office were carefully detailed to accommodate the significant collection of art and books they own, and are crafted of reclaimed chestnut. The floor patterns of each room were custom designed and detailed to accommodate the furniture, and creates a seamless canvas with the interior design elements as cohesive whole. Built-in millwork elements throughout the apartment maximize the use of storage and display spaces while articulating the design intent of each room.
