MSA Visits Design Week / EuroCucina in Milan, Italy

Last week, Kelly Solon, principal at MSA, was in Milan for Design Week/ EuroCucina. The slideshow shows some of her top picks from the show, which is just a small sampling of the many furniture, kitchen, lighting, and home decor objects that were on display.

Detail of finish popular throughout the show - wire brushed larch wood, painted. Also very popular was natural wood with extremely rough textures that appeared to be unfinished.

Colors are problematic but idea of wall cabinets interesting....although you need extra long arms to reach into cabinet.

Lighting store in Milan's design district - great idea for our reference library at MSA. All books are held in white museum board boxes giving the library a uniform, organized look.

If you have to do traditional, this example at Siemen's is nice. Stile and rail door style, but lacquered finish. The polished pulls update it as well.
